Full Version: Shooting 5DmkII video, tethered?
It would be great to store the video directly to a laptop, and even better to be able to use it as a monitor. Is this possible? If so, has anyone tried it, does it work well?

You can capture video remotely using the 5D Mark II with Canon's remote capture software. The functionality is limited to capturing the video to the camera's memory card only and there is no live view display on the PC during capture. Currently it isn't possible to capture video using DSLR Remote Pro.

You might be able to do this with a mini HDMi cord and plug the camera into a HDTV while shooting. Not very flexible though.
