I have always wanted to write an Artist's Statement like that. A great read. Thanks for posting it, Dark.

McSweeney's is a great site.

I think it was the Focus Magazine thread that made me think of posting it here. smile.gif

He stole my artist's statement! Substituted "roast beef" for "large format pigmented print"! Darn, I'm gonna have to go to the openings tonight and find a whole new statement.

For my next show I'm gonna dump those prissy little statements and revive the good ol' in-your-face Manifesto format. Listen up, you pathetic art patrons...

DP: Very funny and an apt target. Thanks. Bill T: Damn straight! Man the barricades!

A fabulously funny parody, but go to your nearest art museum and read what "emerging" artists write about their art. They don't mean to write parody, but if you can keep from rolling on the floor laughing, you're a very self-contained person.

Thanks for the greal belly laugh, DarkPenguin.
