My advice would be if the dust doesn't show up in the pictures, leave it alone. Any time you start mucking around with the delicate innards of the camera, you are inviting Murphy's Law to pay you a visit.

Both good suggestions.  Thanks!  I think I'll leave the mirror alone, aside from the occasional blower.

I there.  I have a 10D, adn the mirror has a lot of dust on it.  I'v tried blowing it out but it seems to be stuck on there.  Is it avisable ot use the swabs and eclipse liquid to clean the mirror as well?  What about the screen?

Keep in mind that these are front surface mirrors, which means the silvering is out front, not behind the glass like your bathroom mirror. It is VERY easy to scratch a front surface mirror, and they also pit easily. If it really bothers you, I'd have a tech with the proper cleaning tools do the job.
