What sort of lighting do some of you use for reviewing prints? I'm considering whether I should get something like the solux lighting as on this page:
http://www.solux.net/cgi-bin/tlistore/info...r-proofing.htmlAt what point do you think in a photographer's progress/education would you think the most benefit from lighting would be worth the investment? i.e. Should I get these or just a few more lamps for my "dark" room from goodwill?
Thanks in advance for your feedback.
Another decent choice is an
Ott Light. It is brighter than the Solux, but the spectrum is not quite as smooth. I have both, but usually use the Solux for viewing prints. When used at a distance from the print of 12 inches, the illumination is close to 500 lux, which is the level used in the
ICC Spec.
