Full Version: No 64-bit option with LR on a Mac

I've been asked by someone about a problem with Lightroom 2.3. They don't have the 32-bit checkbox when they choose Get Info, so there's no way to select whether to run in 32-bit or 64-bit mode. They're on a Mac.
I haven't seen this on any other Mac systems - anyone else, and if so, have you found a solution?

Thanks,
Jon

I believe that Lightroom can run in 64-bit mode on Intel poweerd Macs only. On my old dual G5, there's no 32-bit checkbox.

Yes...and under Leopard (10.5+) only as well...

Thanks Francois & Jeff, I'll check on the Intel side, I know he's on 10.5.x

Not all Intel processors used by Apple are 64-bit. For example, the Intel processors used in the early MacBook, MacBook Pro iMac and Mac Mini used Intel Core Duo processors, which were 32-bit. The Core 2 Duo and subsequent Intel processors are required for 64-bit support.
