Full Version: CF card for Minolta Dimage A1

Lexar's seem to be preferred over on the DPReview forums. Anything much above 12X won't speed up the camera much.

Sandisks seemed to be OK, but my memory is that the 80X Sandisks weren't any better than the 40X ones.

I have had good experience with 512Mb 12X Lexars, Viking. Slow with a 512Mb Viking (older card) and Transcend 25X, I had really good luck with some 2 year old 256Mb Kingston cards, but who knows how they compare to what they are selling now?

Hi guys!
I am new in this forum, but I am sure you can help me.
I just bought a Dimage A1, and I wonder if there is any preferred CF card for it in terms of writing speed. I intend to buy a 256 Mb, because I think it is big enough, and Sandisk might be among my preferences.
Is this type CF II really worthwhile?
Thanks for help.
Nacho
Thanks Gary.
Very useful.
