Hope someone out there can help me! My 4g microdrive has suddenly become invisible! Yesterday after I downloaded some files from my microdrive it stopped working. Everything seemed ok until I replaced it in the camera(D70) and got a "change" error message. Tried formating and the camera seemed to write to the drive but afterwards the same error message came up. Back to the card reader on the computer ( Mac OS/X) but even though the light on the reader lights up, the drive never becomes visible on the computer. Today I tried it on a windows computer but no luck. I have some recovery apps but none of them work as they can not find the drive!
I suppose that I am lucky in that I have not lost any files but a 4G disk is not cheap so I would appreciate any tips I can get.
It is a Hitachi drive, not very old and never dropped or abused.
