Full Version: LR 2.4-Epson 3800 problem

I have not printed with my 3800 for ~4 months and not since upgrade to LR 2.4. The good news is that there were no clogged nozzles; the bad news is that the prints are lighter by ~1.5 stops and have a distinct magenta tint. LR is set for PLPP profile, glossy, relative. Soft proof and print from CS4 gives the expected color and "exposure". I am missing something obvious but what it is????

Are you using Advanced B&W mode? Check your advanced options in the printer driver for the darkness setting. I didn't notice any change when I upgraded to 2.4, but there are so many settings that maybe something changed and I didn't notice.

What platform are you on?
Did you update your OS in the past 4 months?
Which version of the Epson driver are you using?

While I did not yet have my 3800 when I switched from LR 2.3 to LR 2.4 on Mac OS, I did not see any change in the prints I made. Now that I have the 3800, I don't notice any gross colour shifts or exposure shifts compared to the same work flow and papers. Hopefully this data point is of some use to you in determining if you have a specific issue or not.

MacPro 2nd Gen quad core with 13 Gig Ram, running OSX 10.5.8 (last update ?)

Epson 3800 over USB.....driver 6.11..(.I just downloaded it again and reinstalled)

I recently added v750 PRO scanner software, if that would make any difference.

Thanks for the help..

Can you show screenshots of your Mac LR Print module and Epson driver settings?

Are they similar to the workflow & screenshots I show here?
