Full Version: Good Card Recovery Service?

Can anyone recommend someone to recover files from a dead SD card? I recorded a lot of AVCHD Lite videos on a 16G Transcend SDHC card a few weeks back. In the middle of offloading the files, the card suddenly became unreadable. It isn't recognized in any computer now, no matter what I try. I tried running several different kinds of recovery software on it, but none of them seemed to even recognize it.

So now I'm looking for a company that can do whatever sort of deep recovery is possible. Does anyone have experience with this sort of thing? Is there someone out there who is known to be reliable? I can wait as long as it takes, and I don't mind paying for the best quality work.

Thanks,
Wes

Drivesavers in Novato Ca is one of the best, they have been around for a long time and are good people

Drivesavers is the obvious choice but you could also try to contact OnTrack ( http://www.ontrackdatarecovery.com/ ). Both companies are not known to be cheap, beware…

Seriously,

Spend the CHEAP $29.00 and give this a shot.

I am not sure if this NEW video format is supported, maybe email them, they are typically quick. Anything else you try is way more than $30.

Best,

Ken
