Full Version: 2.5 no screen flush on exit

LR user since 1.0. I think it's a great program with a bright future.

Small problem w/2.5:
On exit (File > Exit) there is a small patch of screen (vxh = 1"x3") that does not clear the lr image. The affected area refreshes as soon as I open another window (any app.) over the same screen area. As a more or less anal geek type, it's slightly annoying. Tried switching to decaf, no good. Still annoying. I run two screens, it happens on each screen. IOW, it doesn't matter which screen I put the main lr window. When I exit, the same small patch remains in the same relative screen area (upper left quad). No other app does this.

OS = x64 Vista Ult., updated
RAM = 6 GB
Video Card = ATI Radeon 4850, dual head DIV

Weird. I am running Windows 7 64 bit on similar equipment, and do not have that issue.

I suggest you use this as a good excuse to get Windows 7.

I bought Vista with the Win7 upgrade package. I just ordered Windows 7 online. The order process said:
"Please note that orders cannot be shipped until the Windows 7 general availability date. The estimated shipment date for your order is: 05 November, 2009."

Questions:
Did you go from Vista to Win7?
How good/bad was it?
Did you have to reload all your applications? Photoshop, LR, etc.?

Thanks.............

LR 2.5, Windows 7 Pro 64, ATI Radeon HD 3400, Single Display (Viewsonic VP2250), 3GB RAM

Not having this issue at all. I have all the ATI applications - Control Center, etc. - turned off. LR hasn't liked these display apps in the past. Has to be a display adapter issue or setting IMO.

Windows 7 Pro 64 was an easy upgrade from Vista Pro 64. Had to reinstall Color Eyes Display Pro, and a couple of others. Firefox seems to crash once and a while, but I tolerate it since its color managed.
