I am looking for a calibration system to match prints from screen

my set is the below

Apple PowerMac g5
Dell 24" LCD 2405FPW

Epson Stylus Pro 9900 (without Spectrometer)

I am looking for easiest to use, Most accurate all in one system to calibrate my monitor and printer
for various paper types

Looking to spend under $1000

Any suggestions.?

Ive read about the colormunki and Spyder3Studio
are there any other systems I should be considering

I'm very pleased with ColorEyes Display pro (http://www.integrated-color.com/cedpro/coloreyesdisplay.html) shipped with the Spyder 3. With luminance set to 100 cd/m2 the match is very good. Easy to use and accurate. The documentation is variable (from excellent to missing completely. Last time I looked).
I've had mixed results with Spyder print 3. I've found the Harmon and Epson canned profiles better than mine, particularly in the shadows, and with Ilford sometimes mine are better. Softproofing shows up immediately which is going to work best. I think I need to re-do my profiles with a 729 patch target instead of the 225 one, and see if there is any improvement. I think there may be better, but more expensive profilers out here, though I hear Datacolor has a new version out.

IMHO you just can't go wrong with good old X-Rite i1pro. I'm using it with my Epson 7880 and it gives decent results - in fact I managed to make such precise paper profiles, that I was even able to print proofs from Photoshop (without RIP), that passed Fogra MediaWedge v3.0 certification, so they mustn't be bad.

Take i1pro basic + RGB module, or i1Xtreme, download magnificient Bill Atkinson's 1728 patch targets:
