Hi all,
Those of you interested in street photography should try to get to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York before next January to see their new exhibit celebrating the 50th anniversary of the publication of Robert Frank's "The Americans."
I was there a couple of weeks ago, just a couple days before the exhibit was to open (alas!). The gallery where the exhibit is was closed, but just outside it, in the corridor, they had a fine assortment of maybe twenty or so prints that I had never seen before. They were from an earlier book of his called "Black, White, and Things", and I found them deeply moving.
I'm planning to get back later this fall, as this looks like a stunning exhibit.
Eric
Eric, Wish I could go, but NY's a long way away from where I live. Frank's one of my favorite photographers. I'm hoping I can find a copy of the catalog for this show.

I just noticed on the Met website that the museum shop is now carrying both The Americans and a new edition of Black White and Things. I plan to pick up a copy of BW&T for myself when I get down there next.

Jeremy, Thanks for the offer. I just found that I can order the catalog on the web. Just did that. Again, thanks for offering.
