It's been raining in Nairobi - the first we have had after months of drought - so to celebrate here are two from taken from my verandah late this afternoon.

So happy... (about the rain, not necessarily my photos).

I like them both, but I prefer the first. It's reminiscent of Eric's road tar.

If you like rain, come to Manchester. We've all you could possibly want!

I like 'em, Ed- each got a second look from me. You might want to correct the perspective of the second just a smidge (looks like you were just a bit closer to the left side of the image than the right), but that's just a minor technical nit.

The images are strong!

I like the first one a lot. The "liquid metal" aspect along with the rectangular tiling combination is very interesting.

Thanks all, I appreciate the comments. The one of the puddles on the tiles, while it looks OK on screen, looks way better on baryt paper. Just one of those fortunate shots I think.
