I've heard of tools like this but never tried them. Very cool app. Now if I could just run it on my iPhone ...

The Photographer's Ephemeris is a great tool. The feature set has really evolved to put it ahead of other such sun/moon calculators that I've seen. Having this on my laptop is really great when traveling in addition to pre-trip planning.

I'm pretty sure there are sun/moon calculators for the iPhone, although not as full-featured as this.

p.s. It would be cool if these apps could talk with a weather app to let you know what the cloud cover is beyond your sight for the twilight hours
