I can't answer your question directly but any digicam you buy will be an orphan within a short period of time.

I've been reading and trying to decide on a new camera.  The reviews here on the Konica Minolta A2 struck a chord with me and it sounds right for me.  Now that I start looking for a place to buy one, it seems to be discontinued.  Is that true?  Any word on a replacement?  I hate to buy an orphan, but the EVF, 28mm wide angle end, decent zoom range, and the SLR familiar feel all are right up my alley.  What's the scoop?

Thanks,
Jim

A2 is still available in stores where I live (Norway). It's been replaced by A200 (although A2 is still more advanced in some areas), so I assume they are just selling the rest of the stock.

You might want to read this thread on dpreview forum, which is the latest "news" about an A3 I've seen.
