Well I do battle with IT all the time.. They are an Honest hard working company..It is not there fault nor or they misleading you, Nor are they making any interest for a month..That I will tell you! Neither are any other Epson resellers we are all in the same boat..we are being told one thing and there seems to be one delay after another. ( Parts Supply) Currently 4880,7880,9880 are impossible to find and the dates keep changing..at least the 3880's are shipping..very slow at best but they are shipping.
The Epson world is very hard to follow and tracking info with shipments is virtually non existant until after they ship..the problem is knowing when..
By The way Interest on $1300.00 US for 30 days is what a $1.00 so in my opion he has lost money if you spoke with them on the phone and emailed several times.. Half of my day at least is explaining this problem on the phone to customers. im..
Remember when a new product hits Epson goes on allocation based on size IT is well positioned there just like my company..If you took pre orders depending on home many you had you may have filled them or may not have filled them all ( Thats our case ) we where allocated about half.. B & H Didnt take pre orders so when it went live with them they might have been available..
Just my .02 worth
They will all be shipped soon thats for sure!
Cheers

http://www.shadesofpaper.comJim, I can appreciate your point of view, but the bottom line is if something is not available then you don't show it on your website as "In StocK" that's simply dishonest. As of this morning they FINALLY show it as "Out of Stock" however, that is 8 days after I ordered mine and they showed them as being "In Stock" everyday until today. As far as the interest, we can calculate it any way we want, but if they had 100 payments at $1300.00 a piece and collected 5% per year then that's more like 540.00 per month and as the numbers grow, well you see my point. Any reputable dealer that I have ever dealt with does NOT charge a credit card until the item has shipped. And it's very difficult for me to believe that nobody knows where they are in the supply line, logistics today are such we even know when our cars are being painted as they are being built.
Maybe Shades of Paper does business differently?
As of this morning B&H Photo shows them as being "IN STOCK" that means they are actually available
