It's practically certain that Canon is working on new models and will introduce them in the future. But there is no credible information currently available regarding what they are or what their specifications will be. Speculation based on uninformed rumors is pointless. Have patience.

Canon has admitted they will announce two new DSLR's at Photokina.  While they have not specified what they will be, educated guessing points to a 1Ds2 and 10D replacement.

There's a story in the French photographic press (reported on photo.net) that Canon will announce at Photokina a new deep budget DSLR, the 3000D, and a replacement for the 10D called the 3D.

If it's true that there's just two Canon DSLR announcements at Photokina then where's the new 1Ds?

I almost didn't post, but what the heck.  If you want to read some musings on the subject, you might try hereBob Atkins I suspect Bob's read is just about as good as anyones right now

I was hoping for a 10D priced 8meg with 1.3 factor.  Sounds like that probably won't happen
