Full Version: using UK scanner in Canada?

Canada is 120v, 60 Hz (same as US). If your scanner has a "global" power supply, all you would need is an adapter plug (readily available). If not, you'd need a transformer.

The Minolta site states that this particular scanner's power supply is 220-240v, so you're probably going to need a transformer. You might want to enquire with Minolta to see if a conversion can be made.

I have a Minolta Dimage Scan Dual II film scanner, which I bought and have used for 2 years in England, UK. Will I be able to use this scanner in Cananda? What about the mains power - it is 240V here, is Canada 230?? If it needs alterations, is this cheap and/or easy? Thanks, Dave  www.orange-skies.com
