Lovely picture, nice reflections. Next Christmas I will get my first digital camera. How long was the exposure?

Gorgeous photo.  You've captured the foggy, mysterious look extremely well.  If I'd seen it anywhere else, I would have guessed it was a painting rather than a photograph.  For some images, like this one, I really like the "no sharpening, no saturation" look.

Not so great on the last one, eh?   smile.gif

Well, had some nice conditions this morning along with some material to work with.  Spring is definitely here, at least for the time being.  Shot SW of Elora, Ontario, Canada with a D2X and 28-70 mm lens on a tripod and remote release.

PS - Post processing with this camera is a real "workout" - Only thing done was to brighten the shadows a bit to give a more realistic foggy look.  That was it.  No sharpening, no saturation.  Just conversion to JPEG after using the Highlight/Shadow function.  I do like this camera!!

Hi Andreas,
Thank you very much for the kind words  :) .  Much appreciated.  The exposure was roughly 1/10th of a second at around f18 or so (give or take - I'll have to look at the EXIF data when I get home to be sure).  I know is some of the bracketed exposures the ice chunks that were floating by were quite blurred.

Thanks again,

Glenn

Hi Lisa,
Thank you very much for this.  I really appreciate your comments.  It's funny, I've been a "velvia" person for a long time, but I think I'm starting to gravitate back to the "Kodachrome 25" look more and more.  It's pretty easy to get that with the "X" I find, and I like the effect.

I'm really glad you like the photo  :) .  Thanks again.

Glenn
