Hi Mark,

Yes, they haven't yet written documentation (will be in many languages) but it does support 16 bit editing. I can't say about color management, but the entire code is 1.5 megabytes and you can download and try it free and experiment. As with their other programs, it will undergo constant improvements and upgrades will be free for life so nothing to loose by testing it.

Hopefully there will be documentation soon - but it's a cooperative effort getting docs written in so many languages and the developers are Russian and though they speak English need help with subtle verbiage.

Maybe some of you are familiar with the great slideshow program PicturesToExe which was written and developed by a couple great Russian pogrammers. I've been using it since the beta version five years ago, and have learned to trust and respect the author's and the company, Wnsoft.

Today I took a look at their new program PixBuilder Studio and was totally blown away!  It has the majority of the features I use in PhotoShop such as levels, curves, levels, text handling, effects, several types of interpolation and sharpening, etc., and has a user interface very similar in some respects to PhotoShop but but serious improvements (I think). It's at a bargain basement price with differential pricing for individual users or commercial or institutional licenses. If you've been on the fence about buying a photo manipulation software you owe it to yourself to give this a look. Free trial download, etc......  Link below:

Lin, I looked at the website (link you provided) - thanks for making this known - never heard of it before. However, I didn't find the website all that informative. For example, not clear whether it supports 16 bit image editing and how it handles colour management, supports duotones, quadtones, layer masking, etc., etc. What is your experience with it in these areas?

Thanks Lin, very interesting - image editing as they describe on 1.5 MB of code! I think even Photoshop Elements 1 was much larger than this. I mention this because programming and processing efficiency is surely a factor in digital imaging. Depending on how many features and how well they work, perhaps these guys are on to something?
