Is it my imagination? Some of the most informative posters, such as the Digital Dog, haven't been responding to posts since the forum has been put on the new server No disrespect to the posters that are here but as a lurker rather than someone who is knowledgable the posts seem a little less interesting than before Hopefully things will recover

The biggest change, to my way of thinking, came when Didger was no longer here (I still miss him). More recently, we have been getting fewer posts from Jonathan, because he is busy getting ready for basic training. Digitaldog has posted a couple of times recently, and many other regulars are still posting. And recently there have been several newcomers who have been posing interesting questions and getting lively responses. All in all, the forum seems pretty healthy to me.

Just my 2 farthings.

I'm still around, just busier. I'll be offline completely January 4 to February 26 or so.

Same thing here, he was IMHO the most valuable contributor on this forum.

I hope that his death will at least keep making us all more aware of the dangers of the backcountry. Skiing through avalanche terrain in foul weather a few weeks ago, I have to admit that the thought of his passing crossed my mind.

Cheers,
Bernard

Waiting for February 26 or so will be a little like waiting for Michael to get back from his latest workshop. We'll miss you. Take care of yourself, and get that mile under 8 minutes. smile.gif

I just ran 2 miles this morning in 18:00. I still need to shave off about :20 but I'm getting closer...
