José Ramos

My name is José Ramos and I'm a 35 years old landscape photographer, currently located in Lisbon. I have been shooting for 13 years and I'm specialized in long exposure photography, mostly focusing on waterscapes. I was fortunate for having been born in Beja, located in the region of Alentejo, south of Portugal, well known for its endless plains and gorgeous sunsets, where Nature is still respected and revered. Mountain biking and other outdoor activities kept me close to Nature until I was 18 years old, but then I had to move to Lisbon to start studying Medicine. Moving to a much larger city and enrolling in an extremely demanding university meant loosing the frequent contact with the outdoors I was used too. As if it weren't enough, my chosen mean of artistic expression - guitar playing in a band - would also inevitably end with this move to our capital city.
