Sunrise In S. Georgia

One of the most amazing locations on the planet, especially for photographers, is S.Georgia Island and the Antarctica Peninsula. It’s been almost 9 years since we did our last trip to South Georgia.  It is truly one of the most overwhelming opportunities for the ultimate, photographic experience.

Luminous-Landscape has charted the Ocean Nova with Antarctica XXI to offer a photographers’ exclusive adventure to these locations.  This means that the trip is centered on getting the ultimate photograph.  Working with the ship’s expedition leader, we will time our excursions based on light and weather.  The experienced instructors on this trip will give you the opportunity to learn how to improve your skills in order to get the most amazing images.

This trip is almost sold out, so now is the time to book your spot.  Here’s where we stand.  We have one berth for a female in a twin cabin and a berth for male in a twin cabin.  We have 2 triple cabins left.  All the other twins and triples are sold.  We can consider converting a triple cabin to a double for a small, additional charge (since they are larger cabins).

We expect these last few berths to go quickly so now is the time to register.  Don’t hesitate, as it will be 2018 before we do another Antarctica cruise.  Antarctica XXI and our booking agent Sebastian Nunez will work with you to accommodate you for this trip.

I can’t stress enough how great this trip is.  You’ll have fun and make new photographer friends.  You’ll see wildlife in numbers you never thought possible.  You’ll walk amongst thousands of penguins.  You’ll see icebergs that are beyond comprehension. Quite simply a trip like this will change your life.  In the past, some attendees have joked with me at the beginning of a trip about this statement but at the end they say that I was right.

The Polar Regions are my favorite places on the planet and I have visited a lot of them.  It’s one of the last pristine landscapes left and it is a landscape that is here today and changes tomorrow.  It’s nearly impossible to take a clichéd image.

I really hope to see you on this trip.

P.S.  On a personal note, I was married on the last trip to Antarctica.  My wife loved it so much, she will be joining me again for this trip.  It doesn’t get much better than that.

Photography is my passion and has been for 45 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of pictures taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through Rockhopper Workshops and other projects as well as teaching at my Gallery in Indianapolis.
