Searching for "fragments of opportunity" (FOO) on Pulaski Reef. These fragments from wild stands of Acropora cervicornis (staghorn) will later be planted on blocks in the nursery.

In this follow-up to our piece with Florida underwater photojournalist Jennifer Adler , we talk to Jenny about the life of a freelancer, balancing grant assignments and commercial work, and take a look at one of her more recent projects at a coral farm in the Dry Tortugas.

The scientists went to a new outplanting site (they said it doesn't have an official name) to plant more corals. They planted 1220 total! (goal was 1000)
