A 400 Page Large Format Book

Published August 1, 2014, this large format, cloth bound, hard-cover book has 400 pages, containing 380 images. It was designed by Arturo Chapa, one of the world’s top book designers.

This book is available in two editions; a signed and numbered limited-edition (500 copies only), contained in a clam-shell style slip-case, and also in an open series hard-covered edition without slip-case.

This is a video presentation of the Retrospective book’s content.
It runs for 14 minutes, and shows all 400 pages.

The Story of The Book

This 43 minute long video is a discussion between Michael Reichmann
and Kevin Raber about the genesis of the book. It contains an in-depth
discussion of the book’s making and many of the images which it contains.

 


The Making of The Book

This 44 minute long video is a discussion between Michael Reichmann and Arturo Chapa,
the Retrospective Book’s designer. In it they explore the process of the book’s design.
Included is footage taken in China when Michael and Arturo were on press.
