1 - Introduction
This essay features a variety of examples of black and white abstract photographs. These examples are presented by categories of images.  These categories are organized by subject. For each subject I describe the type of abstraction that I used and the motivation that led to the creation of these images.   I also talk about the experiences associated with the creation of the images presented in this essay.
