The 30th Lens In Sony’s E-Mount System

Last week we were invited out to San Francisco for a Sony press event.  A lot of the other press was there, and we expected based on rumors the launch of a new camera or two.  However, the announcement was for the NEW 24mm 1.4 G-Master lens.

Usually, I would have traveled with Michael Durr, and we would have both covered the event.  However, I was scheduled for ho[p replacement surgery on Monday and Michael did this event by himself.  Michael’s video recap on this lens is below. Thank You, Michael.

It appears Sony has another great lens in its line of G-Master Glass as well as adding the 30th lens to the E-Mount inventory.  Michael only had a day to test this lens, and he shares his first take ion the shooting experience with it.

We will get a production unit of the lens when it ships and do a more extensive review with image samples.

Closing

I am having a remarkable recovery.  I was out of bed on the first day after surgery and home the day after.  Today I walked around the neighborhood with a walker.  I hurt and I’m somewhat sore, but I’m feeling better by the hour.  For those that know me they know I have been hurting for some years and had a hard time getting around due to chronic pain.  I hope that I am now on the other side of this issue.

The doctors and nurses and Ortho Indy (Indianapolis) were absolutely the best.  Thanks to everyone who has taken care of me and especially Debra who will have to still watch over me for the next 6-8 weeks.

I’m super excited about the future. Thank You, Michael for handling this event on your own.
