Art Wolfe
Art Wolfe

Everyone is talking about Zoom. I have been using it for a while with vendors and photographer friends but never realized that Zoom would be such an important tool during the COVID-19 crisis. So, one evening I thought about where all of us are and decided I wanted to start calling my friends, vendors, and family. And, if I was doing so I should use Zoom and record my conversations.

The first person I reached out to is Art Wolfe. He’s a great friend and I have taught workshops with Art in many corners of the planet. Art is just about the nicest guy I know in photography as well as one of the prolific photographers out there. Art and I were in Antarctica together at the end of February only to come back to what we are all living every day, lockdown work at home isolation. We had a terrific trip and now we are locked down in our homes for the foreseeable future.

How is Art coping? What is he doing and how has he rethought where he is going with his business? All of this will come out in our discussion.

This is the first on many Zoom Conversations the I have planned. A number of them are already in the can and more are scheduled. This is a great chance to see how other photographers are coping and creating during this pandemic. I hope you like where we are headed with this series of Conversations.

The Video Conversation

In Closing

I want to thank Art for taking the time to visit with us. Please visit Art’s website to see not only his books the are for sale but also the thousands of spectacular images he has captured during his career. Also, don’t miss Art Wolfe’s Live Facebook event at 5:30 PM PST on Thursdays. Art drinks some Tequila and shares a ton of stories. It’s a great time and sure to cheer you up.

I hope you have enjoyed this video.  Please check back regularly as we have a lot more planned.

Photography is my passion and has been for 45 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of pictures taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through Rockhopper Workshops and other projects as well as teaching at my Gallery in Indianapolis.
