Limited Edition Book

Hookstone Woods is a small woodland situated close to where I live in North Yorkshire and during the spring & summer of 2020, it became my refuge. The COVID 19 pandemic brought an inevitable focus on illness, death, economic uncertainties with disruption to lives & travel across the world. In the face of everything going on around the world, this small area of woodland became my oasis of tranquility, the place where I went to recharge my spirits. With every visit, my relationship with the woods deepened. On my photo explorations there I tried to capture the variety of emotions I was experiencing – the joy of nature, a connection with a simpler, less troubled world, and getting sustenance from the reminder that in the woods life went on relatively untroubled.

This book is available for purchase in The PXL Store.

To celebrate this project I am offering a very special handmade collectors edition book limited to 20 copies, with all copies numbered and signed by me. These lay-flat books have 52 pages of images and text, are sized 11.8″ square, and are meticulously crafted with a luxurious ‘Wood Look Slate‘ design cover. The images are printed on a satin finish archival paper that will retain their quality without fading or color shifts for at least 75 years. Each image is printed to match the accuracy of my original intent and the satin finish of the paper perfectly complements the images to allow for glare fee viewing of the photographs. In addition, each collector will receive a signed 9″ x 7″ print of their choice from any image in the book, printed on archival quality fine art paper.

The cost per book is $400USD  plus $48 USD for postage and packing. For orders outside of the US and Canada please contact us at [email protected]

Images from the book can be viewed on my ‘An Oasis of Tranquility’ portfolio page.

This book is available for purchase in The PXL Store.

The layout and design of the booked can be viewed in this video:

Photography is my passion and has been for 45 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of pictures taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through Rockhopper Workshops and other projects as well as teaching at my Gallery in Indianapolis.
