Art Wolfe
Art Wolfe

If you aren’t familiar with Art Wolfe, then you must have been on Planet X.  Art is a great friend and I have had the privilege to teach many workshops around the world with Art.  He even served as my best man at my marriage to Debra on the beach in Neko Arbor, Antarctica.

Art is an incredible photographer with an amazing eye for seeing things that many of us just wouldn’t ever see.  Every time Art and I travel together I come away refreshed with new knowledge but also my eyes are wide open for new possibilities of seeing things that are around me.

As far as teaching photography I don’t know anyone who does it like Art.  He has enthusiasm and a smile in his voice.  He articulates the language of photography unlike anyone I know.  I have been fortunate enough to sit with Art on many a night and talk photography.  He always inspires me to take my photography to a new level.

During the pandemic and the lockdowns we all endured, Art kept himself busy working on a new project, Pathways To Creativity.  This is a video series that I would say is Art at his best.  It consists of 26 videos in two parts, which is a cumulation of the last 40 years of Art’s photography.

Art and I discuss what it took to create the Pathways To Creativity.

Content – Special 10% Off For PXL Readers

The content for each video is listed below.  These can be purchased by an episode or the whole season.

I have made it a point that right after dinner each night I retreat to my comfortable chair and I watch one of the videos.  They are about an hour each and the series itself is approximately 12 hours.  That’s twelve hours with Art up close and personal.

In the videos, Art covers so many aspects of photography.  These include composition, design, seeing the big picture, depth of field, color theory, and more.  Each of these topics are illustrated with Art’s photography.  The photography is very inspiring and after watching these you’ll want to get out there and shoot right away.  You’ll open your eyes a bit differently and see what is in front of you in a whole new way.

Art has been kind enough to offer a 10% discount on individual downloads or the whole series.  You can order episodes or the series on Art Wolfe’s Website.  Please use WOLFEPXL as a discount code on check out for the first series and WOLFEPXL for the discount code when purchasing the second series.  These codes can be used for the season or individual episodes.

I  know you will find these videos inspirational and educational.  No one does it better than Art.

Photography is my passion and has been for 45 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of pictures taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through Rockhopper Workshops and other projects as well as teaching at my Gallery in Indianapolis.
