RAW processing is one of my favorite pastimes. After a great photo session, I look forward to seeing what the images look like on my computer and then fine-tuning these images to my liking. Then, of course, it’s all about making the print, which I am a big fan of. We will have a lot more to share about this on some future videos.
Today Drew Altdoerffer and I sit down and have some fun with Capture One 12. Drew goes over the new features including the new tools in layers. Layers are going to be a big part of future expansion with Capture One and just some of the new tools in this version are enough to get anyone excited.
The biggest change is Luma Range selection tools and layers. If you have any questions about this new feature or want to see it in use then this video is for you. Since Capture One 12 was introduced I have gone nuts over this new feature. Drew and I also look at radial and linear masks as well as how to invert masks.

We continue exploring Capture One 12 looking at Kevin’s and Drew’s workflow. You’ll get a chance to see how flexible Capture One is in regards to how you may want to work. You’ll also see why Kevin’s workflow is the best ;-0. We go through the steps involved in setting profiles and film curves as well as the ways we can approach making corrections in the image.
You’ll learn some tricks in this video for sure. In our next video, we’ll see Drew’s workflow.
