A Tribute to Kevin Raber

Kevin Raber passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy that extends far beyond his landscape photography and beloved printmaking work.  As a resident artist at the Indianapolis Art Center, Kevin continued to be a mentor to photographers who found inspiration in both his technical expertise and his genuine love for the craft.

What made Kevin special wasn’t just his eye for capturing landscapes or his dedication to the printmaking process. He lived photography in a way that drew others into the joy of creation. His passion was contagious, and that spirit will fill the Art Center on June 6th.

An Evening of Photography and Community

The event runs from 5:30 to 9:00 PM, with a formal presentation scheduled from 6:15 to 7:45 PM. Local photographers Michael Durr and Rad Drew, both close friends of Kevin, will present during the evening. Their shared memories and photographic insights promise to create the kind of inspiring atmosphere Kevin would have loved.

You’ll have the opportunity to view Kevin’s work displayed throughout the space, experiencing firsthand the landscapes and prints that captured his artistic vision. But this isn’t just about looking back – it’s about carrying forward the creative energy Kevin brought to every interaction.
