America’s Hidden Gems

On October 23rd 2022., I published an article about a new book by QT Luong – Our National Monuments.  I have known the author for quite some time and have published articles by QT in the past at that other website.

We have stayed in touch over the years, and he shared one of his first copies of Our National Monuments his second book.  These are coffee table books that beautifully portray our National Parks and National monuments.

What’s great though is he shares locations where these images were taken as well as descriptions.  This makes it easy if you are visiting some of the locations to know what time and where to be to take a photograph as you see in the book.

Don’t forget as a Silver or Gold member you can click on an image and see it larger.

I’m not a fan of sticking my tripod sticks in someone else’s tripod holes but I do like to get to a great location without days of searching and then find my own perspective.

The Video

I can’t wait until we get past the COVID challenges so I can sit down face to face with people.  But for now, you’ll have to deal with a Zoom conversation.  QT is a gentleman much like most of us.  But he is a determined photographer with a project in mind and he pursued that vision and mission to publish these two books.  Here is his story.

Photography is my passion and has been for 45 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of pictures taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through Rockhopper Workshops and other projects as well as teaching at my Gallery in Indianapolis.
