As you may know from previous articles, Debra and I enjoy going out and finding things to take photos of. On Friday night, we just finished dinner, and Debra says, “let’s go out and look at Christmas lights.”
It didn’t take long to get things cleaned up so we could venture out. We had no place in mind, but both of us knew of some neighborhoods. It was fun while each of us was telling the other which way we should go. The signs of a good marriage are our ability to make compromises. I found it a lot easier to go where I was told to go.

Our ultimate target was the city center, where Indianapolis has a giant circle with a massive monument. At Christmas, they drape lights from the memorial. This location is known as Monument Circle, but at Christmas time, it is known as Circle Of Lights.
As you can see from the photos here, a few hours of fun time together was worth it. More than anything else, we had fun. There is nothing like taking pictures with your best friend as well as our dog Maggie.

I encourage you this Holiday season to load up your car, be it by yourself or friends and family. Go out and have some fun. Take pictures of Christmas lights. This Holiday season is hard enough, and we should do whatever we can to enjoy our time, if not with our loved ones, then doing something we love, taking photos.

Please stay safe.
Please go out and shoot some of your own Christmas Light photos and share them on the Forum.
