In the late Summer of 2008, Michael Reichmann interviewed Henry Wilhelm, founder of Wilhelm Imaging Research for a video in the 2008/9 Epson Print Academy.
As part of Luminous Landscape’s Back to the Print series, we are re-publishing here the complete 68 minute video interview in two parts. We feel that the material covered in this interview is as relevant today as it was back then. We are working on a NEW interview and a trip behind the scenes with Henry for publication in the not so distant future.
Henry Wilhelm is likely the world’s leading expert on print permanence. His company Wilhelm Imaging Research tests papers & inks to determine their longevity. He is the author of a classic book on the subject: The Permanence and Care of Color Photographs
