Mirrorless Update
Phil Gibson, Kevin Raber and Jody Grober

Our video series On The Rocks is back with a discussion on the state of mirrorless cameras. Join Kevin Raber, Phil Gibson, and Jody Grober as they talk about what’s hot and not. They discuss the merits or mirrorless and where things are headed as well as some details about the design of the latest cameras available.

It’s always entertaining to hear the conversation of three guys who are passionate about photography and know their gear. Mirrorless is undoubtedly here to stay with many camera companies putting significant emphasis on new product development for the mirrorless market. Is a global shutter going to be the next big news? Are these companies emphasizing these systems to prepare for the global shutter? Is the DSLR dead?

While some things are pure speculation, it’s not that hard to predict where things are headed based on the current state of the market. What do you think? Feel free to leave your comments on the PXL Forum.

Photography is my passion and has been for 45 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of pictures taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through Rockhopper Workshops and other projects as well as teaching at my Gallery in Indianapolis.
