We Are Baack For A Virtual OTR

Michael Duur, Kevin Raber, Phil Gibson, and a censored Jody Grober

It’s been a while since our last On The Rocks episode.  The pandemic has kept all of us isolated and thus we haven’t been able to get together to do a real On The Rocks.  Plus as you know if you are a regular reader my family had its fair share of COVID related issues.  Now, with that behind us, it was time to get the crew together again while maintaining good social distancing by doing a Zoom – On The Rocks.  Jody Grober and Phil Gibson of Robert’s Camera as well as Micahel Durr, Video Producer for photoPXL, and I enjoy a chance to catch up.

It was great to get Michael from behind the camera and hear what he has been doing during the lockdown.  Times have been challenging in many ways.  Robert’s Camera has managed to keep the team onboard and pretty buys.  We get a chance to discuss the new Canon 1DX3 as well as the Nikon D6 and how these cameras are doing sales-wise.  So, sit back take a break from the chaotic life that we are all living, and enjoy our spirited and good-humored conversation. As usual, Jody is his entertaining self, and Phil has a lot to share about how the store will be once it is opened again. Plus, they get a few digs in on me.

The Video (30:00)

As always a great big shout out to Roberts Camera for sharing Jody and Phil with us. If you are looking for anything new or used in the photographic realm be sure to give them a call at 800-726-5544 or email Phil or Jody.

Photography is my passion and has been for 45 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of pictures taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through Rockhopper Workshops and other projects as well as teaching at my Gallery in Indianapolis.
