Lau Norgaard and I are back and today we will visit the Phase One IQ 4 Camera menus. There are a ton of cameras out there right now with 5 new ones from various manufacturers being announced over the last few days. It’s getting hard to keep up. However, Phase One still is the leader when it comes to setting the bar high. This not only pertains to the megapixel count but also the design and operation of the cameras well as the tools these cameras have built-in.
To prove this point Lau and I will go through the menu and set up interface of the Phase One IQ4 digital back. You’ll see instantly that Phase One decided to break away from the linear style of menus that almost all camera manufacturers use. Instead, they designed a menu system from the ground up all based on a graphic interface. The bottom line is this produces a much more intuitive user experience with these digital backs.

I know that for many of you the thought of ever owning a Phase One system may be out of any kind of consideration. However, it is pretty cool to see what they are doing. In the next episodes, we will dive to Capture One topics. So things are going to pick up speed as dive into the newest features of Capture One 12.
