A Conversation With Dennis Keeley and Veronica Cotter

Our photo chat on Wednesday, July 31, will feature guests Dennis Keeley and Veronica Cotter. Dennis has been a musician, artist, photographer, educator, and writer for more than 40 years. He is known for his work in the field of music portraiture and for hundreds of album and CD covers. He is a former photo editor of the LA Weekly and was the chair of the Photography and Imaging program at the Art Center College of Design. He is also known for his portfolio reviews at the Palm Springs Photo Festival, Photo LA, and other platforms.

Veronica Cotter is the Education Development and Western Region Manager for Hahnemühle USA. She has more than 40 years in the photo and imaging industry, beginning with traditional/analog-based companies that produced high end black & white films and paper. Veronica’s current role is to introduce and support the Hahnemühle range of Digital Fine Art papers and the company’s impressive 440-year legacy of paper manufacturing with a focus on sustainability.

As you can see, this couple has an extensive history in the photo industry and we will have a fun conversation amongst friends that will go in interesting directions. Bring your questions about printing or about the state of photo education or about working with musicians and see where we go in this conversation.

Photography is my passion and has been for 45 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of pictures taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through Rockhopper Workshops and other projects as well as teaching at my Gallery in Indianapolis.
