January 19, 2021, at 5 PM Eastern Time – Zoom
Being the eternal optimist, I am making big plans for the future. I need to get out and photograph the landscape again. I need to bring the camera up to my eye and compose and take a photograph.
One of my favorite places to take photographs is the polar regions. I have been traveling to Antarctica since 2005, sometimes several times a year. I even got married on a beach there. I have also been traveling to the northern polar regions like Greenland, Svalbard, and Iceland.

These fantastic locations offer photographers a chance to see some of the most incredible places on the planet. From the landscape to the wildlife, these locations are unlike any other areas you can see.
As we move out of the pandemic, I have planned trips to the polar regions in 2021 and 2022. If all goes well with the vaccine, we will be traveling to Greenland, Svalbard, South Georgia Island, and Antarctica. We also have a trip planned for just Antarctica in 2022. You can find all the details on the Rockhopper Workshops website.

I want to invite you to a Zoom meeting on Exploring and Photographing The Polar Regions on Wednesday, January 6th, 2021, at 5:00 PM (Eastern Time). We will discuss the different regions and share some of the photographs that are possible. Along with me will be guests from Polar Quest and Antarctica 21 and Steve Gosling, who will be co-teaching with me on Svalbard and South Georgia – Antarctica workshops in 2021.
