Each Week, A New Photographic Print For Sale

Boy In The Doorway

As a Silver or Gold member, you can click on an image and see a larger version.

Like you, I am a photographer and have been selling my images for a long time.  In the last few months, as I migrated from Capture One to Lightroom, I have been re-editing several of my images.  In doing so, I am discovering some new gems.  So, I thought I would start something new.  Each week I plan to offer a new print for sale.

These will be prints from images that are not on my storefront site, RaberEYES.  These will also be prints I make for you myself.  I will print them on the Baryta Archival Paper using archival inks.  The prints will be made using the Epson 9570 printer, which is one of the finest photo inkjet printers made today.  The paper’s surface is bright and has a smooth finish.

I will sign each print and provide a Certificate Of Authenticity.  The prints will be carefully rolled, protected, and shipped to you in heavy print shipping tubes. Once you receive your print, you can visit a local framer and have the images mounted and framed how you like.

This Weeks Print

This is one of the prints that sell the most during our studio open-house events.  The colors, the boy, and the story that is told make it popular. I enjoy wandering the cities I visit and photographing the streets in my travels.  This could be anything from buildings, people, and cityscapes.

This print brings color to every room

On my way to Antarctica, I stopped in Buenos Aires for an overnight layover and walked the streets there.  The city was rich in color and had interesting people to photograph.  There were a lot of children wandering around.  I watched this boy enter a corner store and come out quickly with a bag of chips.

He quickly found a doorway, plopped down, and devoured the bag of chips.  It made for a good photo for the moment.  There is a story told with this image. Where did he live?  How did he get the money to buy the chips? Where does he live? Does he do this every day?  There are a lot of kids like him that seem to be at home on the streets. This is one of those photos that teaches you while shooting it that you need to see fast and shoot faster.  Jay Maisel was a master at this.  On this jaunt were Chris Sanderson and Michael Reichmann.  It was always good to travel in numbers, and each of us was finding our own photos to take.

I’ll post another image from the streets in Buenos Aires in the near future.  I hope you enjoy this print like many others have.

Photography is my passion and has been for 45 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of pictures taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through Rockhopper Workshops and other projects as well as teaching at my Gallery in Indianapolis.
