John Pannazzo from ColorByte software and I sat down at the computer and gave a tour and tutorial of what ImagePrint is all about. Like all software products, it takes a little while to learn the interface and how it works. Once you master the power of ImagePrint, you’ll be doing all sorts of things with your printing in a way you didn’t know could be so easy.
ImagePrint will save you time and ink and make your prints look incredible. John will show you how to layout images. You can layout one image over several pages. ImagePrint does an amazing job sizing your images so you don’t have to worry about it. The paper profiles that ColorByte provides are incredible. There have been a number of comparisons of profiles, and many say the ColorByte profiles are better than they could have made.
It is easy and simple printing. Granted, there are some things that you need to set up once, such as the way the program looks, but once these preferences are set up, you won’t come back to these settings too often.
I love that ImagePrint keeps a record of every job printed, so if you need to make more prints, you don’t need to redo everything. You just find the previous job and go right to print.
The list goes on and on, but I believe you’ll see in the video mostly everything that ImagePrint covers.
PhotoPXl is considering starting some fine art printing workshops to be held at the offices and gallery in Indianapolis. I’m also considering a workshop where you will print through Lightroom and Photoshop. These will be small group workshops of six to eight people and will include printing on a few different types of printers.
