I am happy to announce that I have added a second Palouse workshop for 2024. Due to the cancellation of a private workshop, I am now available to run another Palouse workshop. I have been running workshops in the Palouse since 2004. It’s one of my favorite places to visit for amazing landscape photographs. We go nonstop for the whole day, every day. The Palouse is rather unique as it is a region, and there are no pulls or overlooks. The Palouse is a dynamic location. You find new locations based on light, clouds, and unique landmarks. You’ll find some of the best lone trees. We will visit numerous abandoned homes, farms, and trucks. Sunsets, sunrises, storms, and just the most amazing clouds you have ever seen await you in the Palouse.
Many Palouse workshops are carpool workshops, meaning the attendees follow the workshop leader in a caravan. Our workshops are limited to five people. We use one vehicle (a suburban-type 4WD), allowing us to go anywhere we want. We will traverse dirt roads and drive deep into some farms. Since there are only five of us, we are together for the duration of the workshop. We have plenty of time to discuss photography and what we see.
You will be picked up at the Spokane workshop on the first day and returned there on the workshop’s last day. This is mainly a photography workshop. If we have bad weather, we will kick into some post-processing reviews. Also, we may do some elbow-to-elbow processing examples.
