Back2Print-810-pixels

Screen-Shot-2016-05-26-at-10.41.25-AM

We have done a number of articles and videos over the last few months on papers and printers.  Our focus has been on the fine art large prints.  In a Rant I did a while back I shared my discovery of family photographs that were stashed in boxes at my mothers.  This made me realize how many of my images from the last ten years or so are only in some digital realm like an iPhone or iPhoto.  Know this I made a commitment to get the best images printed.  This ironically followed the same path we were on as far as Getting Back To The Print.

I shared this concept with Jeff Schewe and he was also doing something similar.  This video is our discussion on the topic.  We cover making small prints that can be used for sharing with the family or even gifting.  We discuss using a small printer like the PictureMate PM-400 from Epson or even a larger printer as Jeff demonstrates the Epson P-800.

Printing Using Your iPhone or Tablet

Printing images from your device is rather easy.  Using the PictureMate you can print directly from the Photos App on your phone or use the Epson iPrint App over your home wireless network.

Print Directly From The iPhone

Below is the procedure for printing from the iPhone.  First make sure you are on the same wireless network as the printer.

First step is selecting the select chose and clicking on the images you want to print. Then click on the box with the up arrow at the bottom of the screen.

Have fun and preserve your memories.  As both Jeff and I say in the video we love the tactile feel of having real photos in our hands.  It’s not that expensive and it’s an investment for the future.

Photography is my passion and has been for 45 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of pictures taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through Rockhopper Workshops and other projects as well as teaching at my Gallery in Indianapolis.
