Lone Trees are a defining feature of the Palouse. I know some of he best

The Palouse is one of my favorite locations to visit.  I have been going there every spring for 18 years.  Each year, I come home with new images that I hadn’t seen before.  It’s a landscape photographer’s paradise.  My workshops in the Palouse are a lot different from any others being offered.

Plowed fields and growing wheat are all about the spring trips. Be ready for lots of green.
Plowed fields and growing wheat are all about the spring trips. Be ready for lots of green.

We travel in a large 4WD SUV with just 4 photographers and me as your driver and guide.  We go places the typical car pool workshops can’t go. We shoot all day long and cover hundreds of miles each day.  I record our GPS path and will provide these tracks to you after the workshop. Oh, did I mention you will eat well along the trip.  I know a number of good places to enjoy lunches, breakfasts and mid-afternoon breaks.

The Plaouse is known as the Tuscany of America and you’ll soon see why as we travel the back roads of the region.  We will shoot incredible landscapes, abandoned buildings and trucks and many of the unusual towns that make the Plaouse region so unique.  If weather cooperates, you’ll be blessed with what I call the Palouse clouds and we may even get a chance t chase a storm.  We will do sunsets and a few sunrises.  This is a photo tour type of workshop.  We will shoot all day long.  However, if you need a break or we run into torrential downpours, we will stay in and I’ll show some post processing tips that will help you make better images once you are home.

For full details, please visit the Rockhopper Workshop CLICK HERE page.

In addition, I offer you a one hour private zoom call after the workshop to go over your images and help you evaluate them as well as discuss different ways to process them for maximum impact.

Because we are a small group, we travel together, eat together but more than anything else we talk about photography the whole time.  Everyone brings something to the table and as a group we will not only become great friends but will learn more that you thought possible on a workshop.

Check out the Rockhopper Workshop Webpage for more information, pricing and registration.  Thiese trips ell out fast every year, so mark your calendar and send in your registration today.

Photography is my passion and has been for 45 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of pictures taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through Rockhopper Workshops and other projects as well as teaching at my Gallery in Indianapolis.
