2016 Application Deadline is on March 31

The headline says it all. The Luminous Endowment is offering a grant to just seven photographers to join Art on a six-day workshop at a remote lodge in Katmai, Alaska, photographing the spectacular wildlife and rugged landscape. This special workshop program is based on the internationally known Art Wolfe Katmai Photography Workshop and will visit many of the same locations. The deadline for applications is at the end of this month, March 31, 2016.

Here are some links that you need to visit. Firstly, The Luminous Endowment For Photographers was created last year by Michael Reichmann, the founder of this site. It is an IRS registered 501(c)(3) charity. Its mission is to advance the art and craft of photography through the provision of financial grants to photographers in pursuit of specific projects. There are currently eleven different grants available to photographers in various countries around the world.

The 2016 Art Wolfe Next-Generation Photographers Grant is for young aspiring professional nature photographers. Recipients will be selected on the basis of skill, artistic excellence and by demonstrating the promise of future achievement. This grant is strictly limited to photographers 18-30 years of age who are either U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the U.S.
