There’s More To Charlie Than Just Photography

In one of our first episodes of Shooting With The Masters, we got a tease of Charlie playing the piano.  Chris and I consider ourselves very fortunate that we got to not only photograph with Charlie but we also got to hear him play the piano with all the passion that he uses when he photographs.

On our last evening with Charlie, we met up with Bill Atkinson a great friend of all of us and had the rare opportunity to visit a local church eqipped with a magnificent organ.  To get the full experience, Charlie made us climb ladders to the pipe organ loft.  Here he showed us around and then he left us.  He went back to the organ and serenaded us to some amazing musical pieces while were inside the organ.  What an experience.

In our first video, we witness Charlie playing his piano and sharing the similarities of a piano piece and a photographic print.  This is a video you don’t want to miss. The second video is a slideshow using Charlie’s images.  Sit back and enjoy this beautiful set of images.  It will inspire you.

Finally, I want to say thank you to Charlie for the time he allowed us to visit.  He shared freely his vision and his talent.  This should serve as a reminder to all of us that we are involved in an art that is fun and especially fun to share.  I know I wouldn’t be where I am at today without the kindness of individuals like Charlie.  I encourage you to use this set of videos and Charlie’s willingness to share as an influencer to help someone you may know to get more out of their photography.

Charlie, on behalf of Chris and myself as well as all the Luminous-Landscape readers a great big thank you!

Photography is my passion and has been for 45 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of pictures taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through Rockhopper Workshops and other projects as well as teaching at my Gallery in Indianapolis.
