A Conversation With Colby Brown

Colby Brown and Kevin Raber

For a number of years, there have been a few photographers that I keep my eye on.  One of those is Colby Brown of colbybrownphotography.com  Colby has an infectious personality not to mention a high energy vibe about him.  He’s one of those can do kind of people and he has certainly proven it with his photography.

His photography has taken him all around the world documenting various cultures and environments. He is by far one of the most influential photographers on the internet reaching an audience of millions through the heavy use of social media.  His work is beautiful and covers a wide range of locations.

We had the chance to discuss landscape photography, gear and how to succeed as a photographer today.

I still have two more conversations with Chris Burchard and Any Katz to share.  Look for them in the coming weeks.

Photography is my passion and has been for 45 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of pictures taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through Rockhopper Workshops and other projects as well as teaching at my Gallery in Indianapolis.
