Photokina Day Two and Three Report
Combined reporting by Nick Devlin and Kevin Raber
Zeiss shows off their whole lens line
It’s the end of the day on Thursday.  We have one more day left at Photokina before heading home.  It’s been a long three weeks of travel.  The show continues, and I have talked to many colleagues that I have known for years. Photokina is like a reunion of sorts.  Everyone has commented on the smaller show and crowds.  For a newcomer it may seem busy, but there was a day not too many years ago where Photokina had so many people that the hotels couldn’t accommodate everyone and they brought in river boats to serve as hotels.  It’s not that way anymore.  Photokina is half the size of what it was ten years ago.  And, a lot smaller than the last one, only two years ago.

Photography is my passion and has been for 45 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of pictures taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through Rockhopper Workshops and other projects as well as teaching at my Gallery in Indianapolis.
