Waiting for Geronimo

Shots of this Peublo work best in soft or overcast light. I shot this photo on an overcast morning in late December. It was shot at a 35mm focal length equivalent on an 35mm full frame DSLR. Taos Pueblo is one of the few Pueblos that permit photos to be taken of it’s cemetary. The result here was intriguing. Is this fellow waiting for his masters return? We will never know.
TIMES
Early morning gives the best and softest light. The light may be equally soft just before sunset, but you run the risk of the wind coming up. In Taos Pueblo it is customary to ask any tribal member for permission before taking their photo. There is a $6 charge for each camera carried in the Pueblo.
